LNW has developed a specialised Safety Management System for extremely high risk heavy engineering projects for the mines and quarries industries where fatal risk studies, task observations and risk assessments are constantly performed and reviewed to develop proper method statements with safety working procedures for projects such as:

 

  • Demolition and blasting projects
  • Structural rehabilitation projects where temporary lateral support systems are required
  • Dragline maintenance and rebuild projects (dragline for opencast coal mines – extremely heavy engineering)
  • Major "Brownfield" upgrade and rebuild projects in live plants
  • Major infrastructure rehabilitation projects
  • Major remedial projects

OSHAS18001-2007OSHAS 18001:2007 ACCREDITATION
LNW was re-audited during May 2011 and we maintained our ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and also obtained OSHAS 18001:2007 accreditation for safety. We are extremely proud of this achievement as it shows our commitment towards quality and safety within our company and to our clients.

SAFETY EXCELLENCE MANAGERS
LNW has been managing a major waste management and stormwater infrastructure upgrade project for the last 3 years for Foskor at their Richards Bay Plant. The main contractor Leomat Construction (Pty) Ltd was awarded the 2011 Annual Contractors Safety Award for excellence. As LNW played an instrumental role in the day to day safety management of this project, we are extremely proud of Leomat's achievement. Well done to the Leomat and LNW team on-site!

lnw-emzansiShareholders of LNW Consulting Engineers and Project Managers (Pty) Ltd and Syralco BV from the Netherlands have recently formed LNW-eMzansi Trading (Pty) Ltd with a group of other individual South African shareholders to target heavy industrial development in the ports and mining sectors as potential clients. LNW-eMzansi Trading (Pty) Ltd is a 51% black owned engineering company envisaged to operate from 4 offices in South Africa which forms part of an enterprise development project by LNW.
